I created a weight with a heart around it and added text to the bottem of my design. I created this because it went along with my theme of fitness and health. It displayed how fitness is important for your body and mind, which are the words I put at the bottom of my logo design.? This relates because I believe it is important for people to understand that fitness does not only affect your physical appearance and look but it effects your mental health and your body on the inside. I just thought of my deign because as I have said fitness and health go hand in hand so I decided to take two things that are important and make it into my logo design. Within my design I first used the pen to cut out a hear shape then draw the line connecting the weights to the heart. I also used the shaped to make the ends of the weights and Next, I used text at the bottom of the design. A problem that I encountered while working on this draft logo design was making the heart because at first, I thought I would be able to make the heart with some shapes that I would put together and move, but instead I used the pen to make a more precise heart and it turned out to be a little bit easier. I also had a difficult time making the line heart beats within the heart because they kept filling in with black. But then I went to the color box and turned the fill off and make the lines black so that they would show up how I wanted it to. Overall, I and really happy with how my draft logo design turned out and cannot wait to hear feedback.

Final Graphic Design Project

Draft Graphic Design Project

What helped inspire my design was my topic and love for eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle. When making this collage I incorporated the labeling with the text over top and added the cute pink color to make it more fun. I want to inspire others to want to go out in the world and try new foods and be more motivated to be active. I think that knowing how to treat your body good is important because now of days many people do not think about the long-term effects. Such as, eating bad foods can have harmful effects on your mental health as well. Lots of foods have chemicals and are made with corn syrup and other added artificial things that we do not even know about. I believe if an individual does a little exercise a day and trades in soda pop for water it is good for long term effects. Because junk food can affect the brain and how you are feeling every day. If someone is eating really bad everyday they will probably feel bad every day. Also, besides working out in the gym, going on hikes and getting fresh air is good for your body, and mental health such as if one is suffering form depression and or anxiety, and a change of scenery. This is good because you are trying new things as well. Hiking is also a power cardio workout which can help your blood pressure and up the density within your bones. Living a healthy life style is crucial for leading a healthy life in the future. So, you can live longer and feel healthier. In conclusion, this is why I choose this topic because I am passionate about it and I want others to see the positive effects it can have and how you can feel better.

My Fitness Journey

I chose to talk about my fitness journey because it is something I have been very passionte about from a young age. I grew up playing multiple sports in school and I danced competitivley for twelve years. Sports are incredibly important to me because they provided me with a good group of friends and a structured schedule. I have always strived to maintain a healthy lifestyle. My parents always made sure that I was involved in something that was not academic related, so I could let off steam and not feel like my whole world revolved around homework. I believe that having a daily exercise regimen is healthy not only physically, but internally too, such as for my mental health. Coming to college changed my whole life not only my social life, but my comfort level and daily routines. That is why it was important for me to start a solid schedule that included working out. This was important for me because when I workout it allows me to evaluate on my life and reflect on things. How I plan on on collecting original material for this fitness blog is when I go exercise I will provide photos and videos. For unit 4 I will provide an audio story and find people at the gym who are also passionate about working out and have them give audio advice about their personal journey. I will also upload a workout video of my routine at the gym and what steps I take to live a healthy lifestyle.
Here are some links that will help me develop my blog and topic throughout this semester. https://sarahfit.com/brunch-cooking-class-with-paleomg/ this blog post was posted by Sarah Dussault. Sarah is a fitness focused blogger, but also has healthy and clean eating recipes, ideas and tips imbedded on her page.
The next like is also posted by Sarah Dussault. This is one of her Youtube videos showing her step by step work out for circuit training. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzb2DxFGVVk I like the way she explains things and her blog page is organized easily for people who traffic her page a lot like I will be.
This last link is about how exercise and mental health correlate and how I believe it is important to not only think about physical looks, but caring about my mental health.
My First Blog Post
Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.
— Oscar Wilde.
This is the first post on my new blog. I’m just getting this new blog going, so stay tuned for more. Subscribe below to get notified when I post new updates.
Introduce Yourself (Example Post)
This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.
You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
- Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
- Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
- Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
- What topics do you think you’ll write about?
- Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
- If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
